We haven't moved house
in over 40 years.
Will Sombody PLEASE
Come over here?
Climbing and digging
through so much stuff,
To do the cleaning
I huff and puff.
Stories and magazines,
papers and paint,
Scissors and pencils,
organized, I ain't!
Moving my memories from
this place to that,
Sorting and Sifting,
"Oh!" Look! Discovered my Hat!

Coffee
Smell the coffee, brewing stewing.
Waking up slowly, the pot I keep viewing.
Come on, come on, I hate waiting.
All the while contemplating.
That fresh hot taste, the first great slurp.
Oh, who first found you, I'd live in a Yurt.
To be there, to be contented.
Now the coffee is done, and I have vented.

Moving On
Traveling acrossed the Sea
So wide and Vast
Tossed and Shaken, reached
The New World at last.
Worshipped,worked
and Celebrated
Only to find it was over rated.
Trusting each other and
the Natives bare,
They prepared to spend
the first winter there.
Only to find it Harsh and Wild,
Some lost Father,mother,child.
Cold and snowy
Freezing far and near,
Starving and sickness
was oh so near.
But Tenacity itself was in their bones,
As they together moved logs,trees,roads
and stones.
So they went on, there was no
going back
Tramping, camping, living in shacks.
These people taught us to be strong,
to move on and even sing a song.
Traveling, traveling, most did go.
Not thinking about the past,
but the Future's glow.
They knew they could make it better,
in this land,you see.
That's why life is so much greater for you and me.
So wide and Vast
Tossed and Shaken, reached
The New World at last.
